This steamboat was built in 1903 by Escher shipyards in Zurich. It is named after Giuseppe Zanardelli, Italian prime minister who died the same year. During WWII it was requisitioned by German and then by Allied forces, and employed also for war activities. This ship was revamped in 1982 and then in 2002. By now it’s one of the few vintage ships sailing on Italian lakes. This motor vessel is equipped with two large halls, furnished with art-nouveau style furniture, and outdoor areas hosting over 100 seats, located forward and aft, while the kitchen can provide over 150 meals. When needed, the upper deck hall can be arranged as a ballroom. This ship has been accurately revamped many times along the decades, taking care to save as much as possible of its original appearance and its original materials, which contribute to enrich any cruise with a highly romantic and evocative atmosphere.
