Until October 5th, 2025, on Thursdays and during all weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) and public holidays, it is possible to take a day trip to the towns of Ascona or Locarno, with a route that will take you around the entire lake, passing by the most interesting localities in the entire Lake Maggiore basin, both in Italy and Switzerland.

The itinerary begins in the morning, departing by boat from your chosen pier on Lake Maggiore (Arona (10:00 am), Angera (10:05 am), Stresa (11:00 am), Intra (11:25 am), or Laveno (11:00 am with a ferry and connection in Intra) to reach Locarno in the Canton of Ticino.

Once you arrive in Locarno at 2 p.m., you will have at disposal two hours to visit Locarno before departing at 4 p.m. for the return journey to your point of origin.

You will need to bring a valid identity document for travel outside the European Union.

During the boat trip, you can admire the many tourist attractions that make Verbano a charming destination, rich in culture and beauty: among these, the Rocca di Angera*, the Hermitage of Santa Caterina*, the Borromean Islands (Isola Bella, Isola dei Pescatori, and Isola Madre) stand out, as well as the Castles of Cannero and the Brissago Islands.

Lunch on board:

During the cruise, lunch is available on board; the tourist menu includes:
• Two first courses;
• A main course of your choice between meat or fish with side dishes;
• Dessert
at a cost of €20 per adult, including a half-litre bottle of water, to be paid directly to the restaurant owner on board.

For children (under 12 years of age), a junior menu is available at the special price of €11, which includes pasta with tomato sauce, a main course of chicken with potatoes, and a soft drink of your choice.

Coffee and wine (red or white) are not included and are available at €1.50/coffee, €6.00/1/2 litre of wine, and €10.00/litre of wine.

Those who wish to have lunch on board at the restaurant are advised to notify us in advance by email at infomaggiore@navigazionelaghi.it.

Tickets can be purchased on the day of travel exclusively at the ticket office of the pier of departure (Arona, Angera, Stresa, Intra, or Laveno). Please make sure to arrive at the pier for boarding at least 15 minutes before departure.

The ticket price is €38.00 for adults and €19.00 for children (aged 4 to 11) for departures from Arona and Angera.

Discounts are available for groups of more than 15 paying passengers.
