2025 Mid-August (Ferragosto) cruises on lake Maggiore

Ferragosto Lavenese is an  event, celebrating its 62nd edition this year! On 15 August 2025, Laveno Bay will once again light up with magnificent fireworks, transforming the evening into an unforgettable show.

Every year, thousands of visitors crowd into Laveno Mombello to take part in this beloved event. All events will take place on the lakefront in Laveno, with the always present food stand in Piazza Caduti del Lavoro.

The icing on the cake of this festival is the fireworks display, considered by many to be the most beautiful in the province, scheduled for 10:30 p.m. (start time to be confirmed)

The Bay of Laveno, dressed up in its “evening gown”, is ready to offer a magical experience for all participants. The festive atmosphere and spectacular fireworks make Ferragosto Lavenese an unmissable event.

Ferragosto cruises on Lake Maggiore

For the occasion, Navigazione Lago Maggiore is organising special Ferragosto cruises, departing from Laveno, Intra, Pallanza, Stresa and Arona, Angera. From the boats, you can admire the Borromeo Gulf, the hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso and the fireworks display organised by the Laveno Mombello tourist office, returning, then, to the departure localities at the end of the show.

Tickets for the cruise departing from Laveno can be purchased at all Navigazione Lago Maggiore ticket offices.

For the remaining cruises, tickets can only be purchased online.

Departure from Laveno, Intra Pallanza and Stresa Adults €10.00 – Children (4-11yrs) €5.00
Departures from Arona, Angera – Adults €20.00 – Children (4-11yrs) €10.00

Advance sales start on 7 August, except for the cruise departing from Laveno, which will only be available from Tuesday 12 August.

This cruise will take place even if the fireworks display is cancelled. Bar service is available on board this cruise. – The ticket price includes one drink at the on-board bar.
